In 2023 Rob walked into the hospital for a scheduled routine Stenosis Spinal operation (in and out in one week) and because of constant infections, it led to 6 operations, 3 on the back and then 3 on the neck and they fused 2 rods along the spine, hence locking up the neck so the neck doesn’t have any range of motion to speak of, certainly not able to bend my head backwards to aim down a cue.  Those days are gone !!  I was desperate to play pool again and the only way I could see both the white ball and the object ball, was to either stand up or get back away from the table. Either one of those made it impossible for me to reach the rail and aim. I tried using a conventional rest but it slipped around constantly.  Out of pure necessity, I worked on a solution that allowed me to not only play, but be competitive again. Thank God !! Playing pool again! Of course there is a huge learning curve to the Grippper, but with practice, I’m winning games again, both in 9 Ball, 8 Ball, Snooker and Billiards. The unique design for each of the eleven (11) grooves ranging in height from 3mm - 11mm allows a player to handle any shot on the table, at any height and at any distance. With the introduction of our unique 7’ 0” long stainless steel telescopic EXtension, it allows me to reach any part of a        6’ X 12’ table, so a 9’ pool table is well within reach with this EXtension.
